35th Parallel is an adventure travel company, specialising in kitesurfing and snowkiting trips around the world. 35th Parallel concentrate their marketing efforts online and are fast building a substantial database of kitesurfers and snowkiters interested in travel. Looking for a way to build their existing database, Digital Dialogue implemented a viral (friend-get-friend) campaign.
Existing 35th Parallel subscribers were sent an email inviting them to enter the competition to win a free snowkite. Once they entered their email address and answered a couple questions, entrants were encouraged to send the competition to their friends. Each person they sent the competition to, resulted in an additional entry in the draw to win the snowkite.
